The Forbidden Elevator » 3
"Did you find any games for it or just the console," I asked excitedly upon entering the house.
"Well I only found two games for it. Star Fox and some Star Wars Podracer game. They are both pretty fun but we must eat first. I have lasagna cooking and it should be ready in about ten minutes. In the meantime I suggest you head to your room and unpack."
"Okay. Same room as last time?"
"Isn't it always the same room," Uncle Charlie asked.
"Yes, but I was just making sure that nothing had changed."
"Do I still live in the middle of nowhere Zac? Yes, I do. Now go unpack and wash up."
I went straight to my room and threw myself down on the bed. Many thoughts raced through my head. 'Should I take these ten minutes and go to the elevator?' 'No, you shouldn't. You should unpack and wash up.' 'Do I like lasagna?' 'What if the elevator holds a passageway to some storage room where he keeps all his old stuff?' 'That is silly. Of course he isn't hiding old belongings from you.' 'Why is there an elevator? It's a one story house. No upper story or lower story.' 'Should I unpack?' I finally decided I didn't have time to do anything but go and wash up. I headed for the bathroom, washed up, and then headed for the kitchen where I found my uncle bending over and taking out the lasagna.
Perfect timing!
